FIRST OF ALL, THANK YOU…
for your love and support you have shown us this year, as well as the love and support you have shown each other. Just like you, our primary focus has been to keep everyone dancing in a healthy and safe environment. Together, this year, we have learned to pivot, improvise, and innovate to create unique opportunities for our dance community. No matter what, we will continue to always provide you with the opportunity to dance.
2021 SHOWSTOPPER PROMISE
Although 2021 is uncertain, we are planning for a full season while creating an environment that is safe and fun for everyone! Here are our promises to you…
100% REFUNDS: As always, we will offer a 100% refund on all registration fees to any dancers or studios who, for any circumstances, cannot attend our events. No questions asked.
BACKUP PLAN: We will host a virtual event at a later date to ensure your dancers will have an opportunity to perform this season.
COMPETITION EXPERIENCE: We are confident in being able to provide you with the Showstopper competition you know and love while maintaining a safe environment.
We will still have award ceremonies, the Showstopper Store, our Teacher Hospitality Suite, free observation, and the production value you expect from Showstopper.
SAFETY PROCEDURES: Our 2021 season is several months away and circumstances are changing rapidly. We are constantly reviewing CDC, state, and local government guidelines and will work very closely with each venue to comply with all safety protocols.
Specific safety protocols for each event will be released as they approach. Our protocols will always include frequent cleaning, dedicated sanitation staff, and space for social distancing to ensure a safe experience.
HOW WE KEEP OUR EVENTS SAFE
(subject to change based on local guidelines)
- Continuous check-ins with venues
- Sophisticated schedule-analyzing technology to monitor crowd density, allowing us to schedule routines without block scheduling
- Modifications to Award Ceremonies:
- More frequent ceremonies to minimize crowd size
- Designated areas will be marked for dancers to wait on the front side of the stage with clear views of the stage
- When called, one representative from your studio will accept your award on stage
- Mask will be required by all attendees except for dancers when on stage performing
- Larger dressing rooms and merchandise area
- Plexi glass shields in merchandise area
- Attendee seating at round tables distanced for safety (if available)
- Stage floors will be cleaned and disinfected throughout the day
- Hand sanitation stations will be available
- Showstopper staff will receive daily temperature checks and wear masks at all times
Some venues will require specific safety protocols. You can find event specific details under each event’s tab on National Tour page!
2021 TOUR UPDATES (updated January 21, 2021)
Below is a full list of all 2021 tour changes with the most recent update listed first.
Why are we rescheduling shows with capacity limits?
We have been working with venues for months to monitor COVID capacity restrictions. With most venue capacity limits, the total people allowed in the venue would include our staff and maybe one group routine (with no parents to watch or other teammates to watch). We work very hard to make sure that our events are a memorable experience for dancers and that parents feel they get their money’s worth out of each competition. We don’t feel that we can host a quality event within those restrictions. We believe the only way to ensure a quality event is to move it to a date where we can host more people at a time. We would never want to put families who traveled and prepared for an event at risk to have it shut down last minute or have to tell them at the door ‘we are capacity, mom and dad have to wait outside’. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to hosting you at a quality Showstopper event!
DENVER REGIONALS DATE CHANGE
Due to regulations in the state of Colorado limiting the capacity of our event, we have moved our Denver Regionals to April 16-18, 2021.
LAS VEGAS REGIONALS DATE CHANGE
Due to regulations in the state of Nevada limiting the capacity of our event, we have moved our Las Vegas Regionals to March 12-14, 2021.
LENOIR REGIONALS HAS MOVED TO SPARTANBURG, SC
Due to regulations in the state of North Carolina we have moved our Lenoir Regionals to Spartanburg, SC for the same dates, February 26-28, 2021. Studios have been contacted and this event remains sold out!
ATLANTA REGIONALS DATE CHANGE
The Georgia Convention Center will be closed through May 2021. To ensure we can still host in GA this season, we have rescheduled our event. Our 2021 Atlanta Regional will now be June 11-13, 2021.
JACKSONVILLE REGIONALS HAS MOVED TO A NEW DATE AND VENUE
We will now be at the Prime Osborne Convention Center in Jacksonville, FL on February 12-14, 2021, the weekend after our originally scheduled event. To ensure we can host you all in Jacksonville we have moved the date and venue.
OKLAHOMA CITY REGIONALS HAS MOVED TO A NEW VENUE
Our Oklahoma City Regionals has moved from the Cox Convention Center to the new Oklahoma City Convention Center on March 5-7, 2021. We are excited to be one of the first groups in this brand new convention center space only 2-minutes down the road from the Cox Convention Center.
ANAHEIM 1 (FEB, 12-14, 2021) HAS MOVED TO LAS VEGAS
The Disneyland Resort hotels and theme parks remain closed and will reopen at a later date based on reopening guidelines from the State of California. Due to this uncertainty we have moved our Anaheim 1 Regionals to Las Vegas, NV.
We want to ensure that any event we host has ample space to responsibly social distance and fun for the whole family. Las Vegas has extra large venues, proper sanitation procedures and is packed with activities for all age, making it a perfect fit for a Showstopper Regionals.
All routines registered for Anaheim 1 will be automatically moved to Las Vegas. Please let us know if you have any other changes! Previously made room reservations for the Disneyland Hotel will be cancelled for you automatically. You do not need to call the hotel!
We appreciate your patience and cannot wait to see you in Las Vegas!
ANAHEIM 2 & 3 DATE CHANGE
Again, we cannot thank you enough for your continued support this year. We are always here for our dance families. Never hesitate to reach out! We look forward to seeing you back on our stage soon!
Debbie and Dave Roberts
This is the year we will all be stronger, braver, kinder, and unstoppable. Stay positive. Work hard. Make it happen!
